Honda EXXXXXIS Series requires a GSCM-mini-i

Outback 48 Volt inverter systems require isolation relay (A0365)

 

Note: Standby generators will not work with the GSCM or GSCM-Mini. Standby generators have their own control circuitry for monitoring utility power. 

 

The Generator Start Control Module-mini (GSCM-mini) is a non-programmable micro-processor based generator start controller that is designed to auto start and stop gas or propane generators.

It supports three types of 3 or 4 wire gas-generator control:  momentary, maintained or key ignition.  It automatically disconnects the starter when a minimum generator AC Hz output is measured.  It has a fixed crank time and over and under frequency shut down.  The GSCM-mini is powered by 12 volts DC from the generator battery and can monitor the battery voltage and start the generator to charge its own battery.  The GSCM-mini uses the generator AC output to know when the generator has stated and is running.   

The GSCM-mini is also available in a mini diesel version, inverter version or a programmable version.

    Generator Automation Champ

    "Its alive!" Having a fully automated offgrid power system is something amazing. If there is not enough sun the CGSM-MINI takes over and starts the generator to charge the batteries for a few hours. Then turns it off all on its own.

    Great product and great support. Works perfectly with my Onan 5500 and Victron CerboGX. Now I can use a more accurate state of charge for auto start instead of just battery voltage.

    Used in 5th Wheel

    My 5th wheel has an inverter & residential fridge and on long drives I have to watch my battery drain, to solve this I install the GSCM-MINI-60HZ to auto start my generator when my battery back level falls to below 50% of charge. Installation following the provided instructions went very well. Solves my problem and I don't have to worry about ruining my batteries.

    We own a generator sales and repair shop in Colorado, and have purchased several of these modules from Atkinson. They arrive quickly, they work beautifully, and customer service is always friendly and professional. There's no reason to go anywhere else!

    I am adding 2 wire start to yet another generator. I have been using the GSCM-mini and its big brotherGSCM for more than 10 years. It's reliable at -10F and 100F. Excellent solution to converting most 3 wire start generators. So far, I have used the GSCM devices to a Yamaha (converted to LPG), Honda (gasoline) and a Champion (duel fuel) generator with great success. I highly recommend this family of devices.

    Product works as expected. The knowledgeable service and support of Abner Jenkins was the key to success. Abner provided advice, instruction and technical manual publications that make the installation easy and successful. This allowed the installation of an existing propane fired generator to be hooked into a new solar off grid system. The exact product for the purpose.
